Soul Sins:
And Regrettable Lies
A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY FOR SEEKERS OF ALL KINDS
“With at least one epiphany per page, Soul Sins and Regrettable Lies provides for a leisurely spiritual journey for seekers of all kinds. It sketches an alternative perspective on sin and forgiveness, and in doing so, answers questions anyone curious about spirit communication might have.”

About the Book
With an insight that is balanced between Buddhist teachings and Socratic dialogues from the “other side”, Soul Sins and Regrettable Lies cuts through traditional religious and cultural rhetoric to get to the heart of how and why we wound others, ourselves and our world. More importantly, it reminds us that we are not hapless drones released here by some cosmic accident, but powerful alchemist practitioners of energy and creators of our own reality.
By considering the unusual significance behind nature, love, destiny, and vanity, Soul Sins and Regrettable Lies explores how both human shortcomings and soul missteps are formed.
“This manuscript provides an engaging memoir of conversations with a soul guide Laz in which the author has metaphysical and spiritual discussions on the soul, sin, self, hell and the purpose of life. The goal to enlighten others and bring light to this deep and spiritual subject is a great one, and I believe the book will bring you to that objective.”
“. . . A series of often entertaining spirit-conversations that yields an attractive personal philosophy of mindfulness and compassion.”
“This book shared some similar parallels with my experience with Daniel Quinn’s, Ishmael, both with the creative use of Socratic Dialogue and with the content, in that, it seems we are being asked to thoughtfully examine not only our disconnect from the planet and it’s elements– but also- how we arrived, in a way, at appointing ourselves superior over all other life on the planet.”

AUTHOR’S NOTE
Who am I? What is the truth of my existence? Why am I here? Where do I go to find my answers? I undertook these core questions during a ten-year journey that involved meditating with Buddhist monks in Virginia, seeking the spiritual counsel from an ageless oracle in Pennsylvania, and finally encountering two soul guides who apparently had been unsuccessful in connecting with me for years. I catalogued my time with these individuals in the partially channeled Socratic dialogues that are contained in the book Dirt, TRUTH, Music and Bungee Cords—Conversations with the Souls Who Guide my Life, a first attempt at documenting the spiritual learning I encountered.

At the beginning of this ten-year journey, while studying at a Taiwanese Buddhist monastery (Wat Yarnna Rangsee) and practicing Vipassana meditation, I was examining my life-taught convictions through a process of self-observation and self-transformation. At this holy place, I initially challenged the authenticity of the principle beliefs that I had refined over four decades as a senior healthcare executive and former Washington, DC, healthcare lobbyist. The net result was the starting point of an unconventional memoir about a truth-seeking conversion that affected my personal and professional growth and many of my closest relationships.
At the Taiwanese temple, the monastery abbot suggested that continuing a journey to answer some of life’s challenges might involve teachers who had gifts that could not be explained. And if those gifts were necessary, I would find these unconventional tutors…or they would find me.
Shortly after that discussion, I met the oracle/psychic Shirlet Enama in rural mountains northeastern Pennsylvania, and over a six-year period, I documented verbatim the Socratic channeling discussions with two personal soul guides who were contained in Dirt, TRUTH, Music and Bungee Cords. By encountering souls who knew me better than I knew myself, I was given the gift of examining certainties that had been untouched yet consistently essential to my makeup.

What follows in Soul Sins and Regrettable Lies are a number of specific guiding exchanges that deal with the area of soul missteps/sins that occupied the vast majority of time I spent in northeastern Pennsylvania and while visiting a mixture of Buddhist monasteries since the publication of Dirt, TRUTH, Music and Bungee Cords. Some may refer to these shortcomings as sins of the soul, but once a spiritual guide frames the actions, they take on a deeper and more timeless meaning. Hopefully these schooling conversations will help in answering the question of what happened to me next.
